Over in Scotland, they’re discussing the dissing of White House first dog, Barney, by outgoing deputy chief of staff Karl Rove, who recently referred to the Scottish Terrier as a lump.
Coming to Barney’s defence on an interview broadcast on National Public Radio, the White House deputy press secretary, Dana Perino, said: “Barney’s kind of stand-offish, but he’s got personality. He’s got a little bit of sass, but he doesn’t let people get too close to him.”
The Herald of Edinburgh replied:”Sounds pretty Scottish to us.”
