A reader writes:

I have a 4.5 month old Scottie and I was wondering if you recommended Frontline Plus or K9 Advantix for Scottish Terriers. We currently have her on Frontline Plus but recently found a tick on her nonetheless.

Since we don’t have tick issues up here in the great frozen north where the Scottie News makes its world headquarters, I thought I’d turn the question over to my knowledgeable readers. Comment away.

This is just one of a series of photos of Prince Edward with his hunting dogs featured at the Daily Mail. As far as we’re concerned, the jury is still out. We’re waiting for the Terrierman to weigh in.

We highly recommend the Dog Whisperer for family viewing during the holidays. It’s on tonight and tomorrow — and there’s always reruns and DVDs. Happy New Year, Cesar.

We couldn’t find a Scottish Terrier in a Kippah so here’s a Westie. He looks a bit like the kind of dude that would hang with Ari from Entourage.

Because we all need to get away from the snow from time to time, right? Their real names are Cota and Fruska but we have no idea who’s who.

In related musical news, our faithful readers might remember the opera-singing Scottish Terriers, Reggie and Basil.
