Unfortunately, the last rabbit to visit our house, back in the pre-Scottie days, got itself trapped behind a steam radiator on one of the coldest days of the year, and its corpse had to be pried out with a crowbar before it could be put to rest on the frozen Laurentian shield.

The worst of it all was that he was a classroom pet entrusted to us for a long weekend. It must be said, however, that he was a lot more skittish than the the eeerily calm bunny in this video.

RIP, Clair de Lune. (2002-2003)

These two Scotties play so nicely together, it reminds me of why I want a second dog. Apologies for the snow, which I know is seasonally inappropriate.

This Sealyham Terrier video from the BBC includes these choice bits about the breed’s creator, Captain John Edwards:

“If the dogs didn’t do their task properly he shot them… and that was pulling at the badgers.”

“He’d throw them in a hole with a polecat and if they didn’t do the job properly he’d kill them.”

Sounds like an upper class Brit Twit version of Michael Vick. Plus ca change…

What a cute car! It’s the perfect accessory for the two terrier cuties.
