McButton’s owner and portraitist writes: “Her original name given was ‘Button,’ but we picked up from her breeder at McDonalds so we added Mc to “Button”. She doesn’t have the normal Scottish Terrier personality; she’s more loving and very very friendly. When arriving at the dog park she greets people first, dogs second. She does this high-pitched whine for things she wants and it’s so annoying that she gets her way… :) She’s 2 years old, born in Ohio, now lives in New Mexico.”

And she looks great in a witch hat.

Oliver from Lallee's Cottage: he hit the jackpot

Oliver the Scottie turned 12 last week and he is one lucky dog. You see, he lives at Lallee’s Cottage otherwise known as Scottish Terrier heaven. I’d move in there if they’d let me.

Devil Scottish Terrier

Today I received an email from Marie, owner of the Scottie devil dog. She wrote:

Attached is a photo of Connor all dressed up in his Halloween finery. It is not really a costume, but his alter ego suit. As a great breeder once said to me, be careful what you name them..it could come true. Well Connor must be Gaelic for TROUBLE…because he is, but we would not trade him for anything.

By the way, he is the son of mom of the litter of the six Scotties in the Uncle Sherman video. Makes him half brother to all those crazy puppies.

The Uncle Sherman video is one of the Scottie News‘ all time favourites and an Oscar award winner to boot. Any excuse to play it again. Needless to say, Connor, all his siblings and Uncle Sherman totally rock.

Degrees of separation to Sherman? One-two!!!

There’s nothing like a Scottie who knows the value of being well groomed and looking good at the agility meet. Go watch Brodie the Scottish Terrier from Scottish Terrier Club of NE on Vimeo.
