Not only does Douglas the Westie get to live in a swank house that’s featured in the local newspaper, he also has his own custom-built dog house.
“I did a maple frame, and I hid all the screws with ‘dog bones’ made of walnut,” says his guardian, Roy. “I drew lettering on a computer to make different sayings, then cut them out of cherry wood. Then I cut out recessed letters in the wood frame and inserted the cherry wood letters. Some of the sayings are ‘A house without a dog is the house of a scoundrel’ and ‘A spoiled rotten dog lives here.’”
All Scottie News can say is that must be some dog house, if Douglas chooses it over the human habitat.
