Man drowns saving Westie dog
In Oregon, a man drowned while trying to save his Westie. Here’s the obituary for Ronald M. Mongini, 66. RIP.

I worked as a lifeguard for many summers and the first thing I learned while getting certification is to avoid going in to the water after a person (or animal.) It’s a last resort. You should use all other means possible to get them out. And, of course, life jackets.

Please, stay safe everyone.

How very heartbreaking. I know my peeps would jump in after me. I’d jump in after Them, too.

Sad. Sad. Sad.

Hey…thanks again for the shout out yesterday. Doesn’t seem appropriate after learning this sad news though.

How tragic, Ann. The man is a hero in my book.
God grant peace to his family.
