This morning, I bought the Illusion Dog Collar & Leash Set: By Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan (Medium Black).

As I’ve mentioned before, Bridget has never been the world’s greatest walker, and lately, she’s been going through a bad phase. Even the morning walk, where she usually bounces along, has become something of an ordeal lately. She just doesn’t want to move.

As a result, I’ve decided to try out this special Dog Whisperer collar. At $50 it’s not cheap, so if it doesn’t work, it’s being returned.

I’m a little bit concerned that it seems to be designed for dogs who pull out in front as opposed to a Scottish Terrier who just refuses to budge, but we’re going to give it a go.

If anyone else has tried it, please chime in and let the Scottie News know about your experience.

I’ll keep you all updated on how the Illusion collar works out.

Update: Wallace is back so please go vote for him. Looks like it was a technical glitch and nothing to do with our fervent support.

A number of you have asked what’s going on with Wallace and his bid to win the Fido Casting Call contest – not to mention the specific hacking tips (cough) a Scottish Terrier News reader community provided in an attempt to help the leading  Scottie candidate along.

Thank you so much for your help in advertising Wallace in the Fido
competition. Thanks to you and your followers, Wallace has moved
mountains in the overall rankings, peaking somewhere in the 130 range.

It is with great disappointment that I must announce that thousands of
the top dogs (including Wallace) have been mysteriously removed from
the contest overnight.

I have no idea what has happened, but I thought that I should let you
know. Can you please update your followers about this situation? I am
very grateful for all of their help and they deserve to know what has
happened as well.

My friends and family, along with yourself and your followers have
worked so hard to help Wallace become “top dog” in this contest, and
for that I thank you. I hope that Fido will release an explanation
soon.

If we are not able to get him back in the contest, I will certainly
continue to keep you all updated with some lovely pictures of Wallace.

Thanks,
Stacey

Clearly, this story’s developing so stay tuned.

It sounds like a horrible accident involving powerful Scottish Terrier jaws?

RIP, Max.

Impossible to resist -- even on November 5

Scottish Ninja Terr-tles by anitamombanita on flickr

Okay, we know we swore we’d posted our last Halloween photo, but who could resist these Scottish Ninja Terr-tles? Not the Scottie News, it seems.

It’s Sweet William back again.

He’s the Scottish Terrier who seems to have a thing for blockbuster movies. Last week, his peeps wrote:

I thought possibly since the movie Puss in Boots is coming out this week that this was a lookalike.

This picture was taken for Jazzi’s World Taco Day. But, when I saw the way Sweet William The Scot took to the hat, we decided to do another after school reading program for the little tikes. We are reading Puss In Boots and seven other fairy tales. I think Sweet William captures the debonair cat. A dog playing a cat!

Loved yesterday with the Scot in Kilts post. Would like to have a kilt like that for Sweet William the Scot to wear to the ReinDog Parade.

We’ve had a lot of kilt and bagpipes requests so Scottish Terrier News will send an investigative team to look into this. But, in the mean time, we have another lookalike contest for you.

Scottish Terrier sports goatee

A goatee is a non-traditional look for a Scottie

Reader Susan spotted this, “obviously too-cool-for-words dude” with a goatee while she was on vacation in Glenwood Springs, CO. Can Scottie News readers find a lookalike for him?
