We get the Scottie scoops! All about Scottish Terriers including puppies, photos, famous Scotties, rescue terriers, grooming and more. Maximum Scottish Terrier cuteness 100% guaranteed
It’s Sweet William back again.
He’s the Scottish Terrier who seems to have a thing for blockbuster movies. Last week, his peeps wrote:
I thought possibly since the movie Puss in Boots is coming out this week that this was a lookalike.
This picture was taken for Jazzi’s World Taco Day. But, when I saw the way Sweet William The Scot took to the hat, we decided to do another after school reading program for the little tikes. We are reading Puss In Boots and seven other fairy tales. I think Sweet William captures the debonair cat. A dog playing a cat!
Loved yesterday with the Scot in Kilts post. Would like to have a kilt like that for Sweet William the Scot to wear to the ReinDog Parade.
We’ve had a lot of kilt and bagpipes requests so Scottish Terrier News will send an investigative team to look into this. But, in the mean time, we have another lookalike contest for you.
Reader Susan spotted this, “obviously too-cool-for-words dude” with a goatee while she was on vacation in Glenwood Springs, CO. Can Scottie News readers find a lookalike for him?

A few weeks back, Scottie News challenged readers to find a celeb lookalike for this Scottish Terrier. In addition to the comments on the original post, the following suggestions and photos arrived via email.
Lauren nominated James Dean as a match.
Virginia thought of Steve McQueen.
Cocoanal wrote: “If You take the High Road and I take the Enfield, then I’ll be in Scotland afore ye!”
And the winner is … the REAL Big Mac with Snoopy, who has the missing goofy factor those other hotties lack. Hotness may get you farthest in real life, but it won’t let you grab the lookalike trophy from a deserving dog at the Scottie News.
Please send us your favourite photo of your dogs, REAL Big Mac, and we will attempt to match them with their celeb lookalikes.

From Peru, Rosemarie — a faithful Scottish Terrier News reader and fur Mom to the fabulously talented Dartagnan — writes that she tried to find a celebrity lookalike for her handsome lad. “We had a family & friends on line contest. The question: Who smiles like Dartagnan?” The possible answers:
a. David Copperfield
b. Antonio Banderas
c. Johnny Depp
“And the winner is… David Copperfield. I hope you enjoy it!!!”
Love it, Rosemarie. And I do agree with the David Copperfield verdict. In the shot directly above, he has the same goofy smile as Dartagnan.
Now, why don’t you get Dartagnan to do a serious pose and match him up with Javier Bardem? We’d love to have Javier Bardem on the Scottie News. Maybe even more than Antonio Banderas and Johnny Depp.
As always, dear readers, please keep those shots of Scotties who resemble celebs coming. If I hadn’t sworn never to use the word, I’d say they were awesome.
Oh, forget it, they’re absolutely awesome. 100%.

Kyle writes:
I have a couple of dead ringers for your Scottie/celebrity lookalike feature — a shaggy Scottie dog and Robert Smith, singer for ’80s rock band The Cure!
I love the Web site, by the way. I am about to own my first Scottie puppy after he’s weaned in September. I’m super jazzed about that.
Good luck, Kyle. Maybe you can teach him to sing.
Or maybe not. After all, not everyone can be a rock star. Consider Amelia for example. Her peeps see a resemblance to Colonel Sanders, with whom she shares a lifelong love of chicken.
And speaking of Kentucky Fried Scottish Terrier chickens, don’t forget this.
And if you know of a Scottish Terrier with a human doppelganger, please let the Scottie News know.

Tegan from Liverpool, one of the Scottie News’ most prolific and insightful commenters, writes: “Having a ginger beard means Kirk doesn’t normally look like Jeremy Brett or Sherlock Holmes … but these two pictures are very alike. I think its the nose and scuffy hair that does it, but also the mood. Anyways, I love them both, (big Holmes fan… Jeremy is classic!)”
Kirk, don’t take it the wrong way, even if you are a girl.
For all the rest of you Holmes fans, here’s the link: Sherlock Holmes: The Complete Granada Television Series (12 DVD).
And if your Scottish Terrier resembles someone famous, send the Scottie News the photographic evidence and make your dog famous too.

Thanks to Rich for sending this in and reminding us all how epic the eighties truly were. And remember, if your Scottie resembles a celeb, the Scottish Terrier News wants to know.
